Sporadic

I seem to have infrequent updates on this thing.
And, now it isn't just an expanse of white, it is an expanse of blue.

I just wanted to try out this line-y thing. It really is fascinating.

I would try to update more substance next time. For now, I want to stalk Disney Princesses

New

I feel like changing the design on this blog, not that there was any designs to begin with.

I wonder what I should do with it?

Btw, Krabi pictures would be posted up later...maybe not here though. On Fb, most likely.

Notes on Krabi

1. It is surprisingly cooler here than Malaysia.

2. My hotel is very far away from town.

3. Everyone here is very nice - which scares me.

4. Alya thinks I was here already.

5. There are a lot of white cars here.

6. My hotel is situated next to a swamp and I saw a monitor lizard

It has begun!

Right after Glee finishes by original favourite series has started again!

True Blood!

Yup, no singing and high schools no more, back to vampires and gore and twisted plots which messes up everyone.

Thursday, June 10, 2010

And that is why, Becky, having kids is not high on the priority list.

I just watched the last episode of Glee. I was literally sqeezing my legs shut to prevent imaginary babies from popping out.

Yup.

I'm pushing back my pregnancy age to 35.

Unless someone convinces me otherwise

5 Things

So, I shall challenge myself to post about 5 things which made today today.

1. Waking up at (not exactly) the crack of dawn.

While I have days where I survive only on 5 to 4 hours of sleep, it hasn't happened often this year. In college, I can miraculously obtain at least 5 1/2 to 6 hours of sleep at a minimum. However, since I am on holiday/study leave, I have been waking up at a very respectable 9.30, and be down for breakfast by 10. So, the past two days has been very difficult as I had to be up and running in college by 9 am. I am not the only one, though, I've been seeing panda eyes and hazy faces for the past 2 days.

2. Literature is very exhausting, even though it is a pathetically short poem.

In fact, the shorter the poem, the harder it is to analyze. For example, this one:

This Is Just To Say
by
William Carlos Williams
I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox
and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast
Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold
Apparently, there are many ways to read this poem, so it is not about plums.
3. Sometimes, words are what they mean.
From the poem Neutral Tones by Thomas Hardy, there was a line 'And the sun was white, as though chidden by God'
So, we did William Barnes for lit also, and he used an accent so the words looked funny. I thought the same thing happened here. Turns out, chidden does mean chidden.
4. I have backlog.
I was checking the updates on my Facebook and discovered a backlog of articles from a lot of groups. I am still deleting them.
5. My dog refuses to eat.
My dog does not like the thunder or the rain. However the place I live likes ironies and
therefore, provide thunder sans the rain.
However, my dog refuses to eat due to the prospect of rain since there is thunder.

Stare

It rained, like I said it would.

Lucky everyone made it to the station in time.

I wonder if it would rain tomorrow. It was so heavy, it looked like an extremely thick, wet wall got slapped in front of me, not letting me see anything. It was fun.

The lightning was pretty too.

=/

Sometimes, I wonder where did all the good shows go, especially the Disney ones. I grew up with Disney movies from Snow White, to Bambi to Tarzan influencing my life and I enjoyed it. I even like the small series of shows provided for children, especially Winnie the Pooh.

And now, when I on the tv, I see Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers and wonder where did the creativity that made Disney Disney go? In the 'old' movies, jokes were created by the witty lines and outlandish characters made, making the movies enjoyable for both adults and children. Now, slapstick humour prevails and the only way to get a kid to laugh is to have one character cause major damage to another character.

One of the only series I like now is Phineas and Ferb, since it encourages people to think outside the box. But, I disagree with Perry being a super agent platypus and the fact that they stereotyped their sister to make Phineas and Ferb look good.

And, I am missing all the villains which both scared the heck out of me when I was younger and now, make me laugh at their ridiculousness (especially Ursula : Body Language!) There aren't any good villlains nowadays, besides Enchanted. In Finding Nemo, the...er...doctor was the villain? Oh, right it was the crazy fish killing niece. However, the fact is that the villains don't play a major part in creating the plot anymore. Look at the Queen in Snow White and all her plans which took up three quarters of the show, and look at Melificent in Sleeping Beauty. One line from her and Aurora became Rose for 16 years.

*sighs*

BTW, Becky, I found a French version of Be A Man, you should watch it. It's called Comme un Homme.

At the risk of TMI

So, I was complaining about back aches, shoulder pains and neck aches for ages to my mom, so she decided to bring me to the massuer she goes to to fix her knee.

It turns out that I had dislocated my shoulder blade for some unknown reason. Also, my spine was out of line.

Everywhere hurts now.

=D

Purple nightgowns

Apparently, I fail at ranting at a length, as proven by Rebecca.

Hell-o!

I promised to put this up ages ago but, because of procrastination and stuff, here it is.

What me and Alya doodled in my red book during our driving lecture on Sunday.

me, Alya.

(we are now ruminating over the fact that there is a guy named Ashley and it somehow led to...other things)

Imagine introducing himself.
"Hello, I'm Ashley. No, no, I'm not a girl."
"I can tell" (tries not to laugh)
"Ok, bye now," (goes off to do manly things)
To prove that he is a MAN (ref to Becky)
I'll make a man out of YOU!
Imma girl
Oh, sorry...
.
.
.
.

The Curse of the Skirt

The thunderstorms outside reminded me about what happened on Thurday afternoon after college. So, it was nearly raining, the light, flimsy kind or rain, so Becks and I figured we would make it to Sentral in time before the storm really hits.

We should have taken the multiple lightnings as warnings.

As a result, my umbrella and Becky's turned inside out from the force of the wind. And me, being an incredible genius, decided to wear a skirt that day. From my college's eye, it is a mini skirt, but truthfully, it is just above my knee. And, somewhat short, flary skirts and strong wind plus crazy rain do not mix.

My entire skirt was soaked, as was my top. And, to make matters worse, it kept hiking up to hide from the cold (the skirt) and I had to put on my shiny red cardigan.

On the train, we were both the most drenched people there, which was good, in a way, no one wanted to stand too close. When we got back, we were greeted with towels and comfort food and a long, long bath.

I R Depressed

I just realized Inuyasha would be finishing soon. As in a few more weeks soon. And it's a finished finish, not a let's take a 5 year break finish.

Now, I need a new anime to be obssessed over, and it's very hard for me to get obssessed with an anime, since I go for the classics.

=(

The similarity between a raven and a writing desk.

Let me just ignore the fact that a certain piece of information is given out to all 18 years olds or 18 year olds to be on this day and let me jump to the fun part.
Alice In Wonderland!!!!

*squeals*

I didn't really like the plot of the movie, but I watched it for the characters. The characters of AIW is so vivid and colourful that I was just smiling through the show.

Also, yesterday was the Kids Carnival Day. Not that I mind kids per se, but, in small doses, preferably less than an hour in the company of someone who enjoys kids. My group had the dart game but with balloons and the tin can games. Watching them play made me think that I may have a heart attack. The intensity and strengh which they utilise to throw the ball/dart was scary. But I liked this during the day.

Observe my wonderfully orange nails (which distracts Rebecca from everything) =D

Erm...

I was going to write something, but the tip-of-the-tongue-phenomenon happened. Although, in this case, one should call it the tip-of-the-fingers-phenomenon, since my fingers are doing all the work.

I learnt a new piano piece, if that is helpful.

=)

Oh yes, SPM results are coming out on the 11th of March, Thursday. If it was coming out on Friday, it would be a 3-day weekend for me.
=(
