My friendship with nuts
{This was written while the writer was in a fit of dementia from her empty packet of roasted peanuts. You have been warned. }
Peanuts;
You know those packed peanuts, the one which have been roasted to perfection. And all you have to do is shell it. It is so simple, yet, so relaxing, the marketeers got this one right. When you crack that nut, you can her the blessed crunch that says that yes, you can break stuff if you want to. Then, you will see two nuts nestled inside there cozily.
Then, as you gloat and feel smug about the fruits of your labour, you pop them in your mouth. You await the enjoyment you will feel as your teeth grind them into nothingness, swallow, and let your other organs do the rest. But, as you taste it, you lucky person, you realise that you have just eaten a salty peanut. The peanut craved by all nut-heads in the world.
Obviously, you reach out for another one. But, this time, you lack the finesse and care you took for your first nut. You clumsily crack it open. You don't even stop to admire the size and the browness of the shell in your hand, you didn't even appreciate the 'crack' sound which comes from popping it.
You giddily swallow it up and bite. But, there is something wrong. This is not the ultimate nut. It lacked the salty tang, the subtle smell of your first nut. This is just some common, run-of-the-mill nut!
Incensed now, you grab another nut. Over and over again, never stopping until-
The nut has returned again. Smiling in bliss, you automatic nut-cracking movement stilled to enjoy the moment. As you enjoy the salty nut.
You reach out for another one. But, now, the bag is empty. Bah! Foiled again!
I will be back for you nut, just you wait.

argh the embarrassment
So, my family normally goes to church on Saturday evening, and we normally leave the house... 15 minutes ago..
(see where is it all going)
so, me, fed up with being yelled at to hurry up, picked out a top, bottom, shoes, hairstyle etc. a half hour to 6. At 5.45, I began to assemble my attire. By 6 pm , I am out of the room
to meet my family still snoozing the rest of the afternoon away.
(am now currently hibernating in room due to random burst of laughter when seen by any family member)

Up up and away!!
I went to watch Up! today and it was uber awesome. I really recommend everyone to watch it, not just families with kids who like throwing popcorn at the other people.
The plot was simple :
The plot was simple :
An old man who wants to fulfill his and his late wife's dream of building a house at Paradise Falls. But then , throughtout his journey to and at Paradise Falls, he has to deal with a overly helpful wilderness club boy, a talking dog, a colourful bird and an extremely ancient adventurist.
Yes, I really enjoyed it.

sigh...
LIDRA farewell yesterday. And I really felt old...
But the place was nice, even though the food was just average. And there was a lawn. And then we acted out a parody of Puteri Gunung Ledang.
See what happens when you spend two months on the stage doing something over and over again...
But it was a fun day. And I got a notebook as a token.
I really really want to buy Rurouni Kenshin vol. 27 and 28.
And I am really lazy to upload photos.

Overboard
Some people are really pinning high hopes on prom. In fact, some of them have even planned out their dresses and stuff already. And me... if a dress comes, it comes. For some reason I want to go really cliche and wear a ice-blue dress to match the theme, Zero Degrees.
But seriously, prom is a lot of trouble for a six hours party thing. There are people who drew out their dresses, tailored it, lose weight....and the list goes on.
And I still am too lazy to go dress shopping. Anyway, if I buy it too early, I may have seen the dress I actually want later, so I am holding out.
Now, all is left is to find a date. Or else I will ask myself there.

So...stuck at home
I get to skip off school due to the fact that I had a mild case of food poisoning. Not fun.
At the risk of giving TMI, I had weird dreams about having stomachaches and then I woke up and realise that it was real.
And my mom says me and my brother are just wacky. He just called from school the say "hi mom, not to worry, I just have an incredible migraine that I am seeing two of everything."
My mom went to pick him up.
But I am still going to the gym today.
